Cambridge runs better when more of us show up. Here is what you need to know about when, where, and how to vote in this year's city election.

General Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026Polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.If you are in line at 8:00 p.m., you have the right to vote.

Where you vote

The City of Cambridge has two precincts. Highway 95 and the railroad tracks form the dividing lines. The fastest way to confirm your polling place is to enter your address in the Minnesota Secretary of State's Poll Finder.

Precinct 1

Cambridge Fire Department, 300 3rd Avenue NE

Covers all property north of Highway 95 and all property west of the railroad tracks. That includes Goldenwood, Pine Village, Heritage Greens, the high school and primary school areas, downtown, West Oaks, and property north of City Hall.

Precinct 2

Cambridge City Hall, Council Chambers, 300 3rd Avenue NE

Covers all property east of the railroad tracks and south of Highway 95. That includes Parkwood on the Lakes, Yerigan Farms, Bridgewater, Roosevelt Gardens, The Preserve, Joe's Lake, and Town Square Apartments.

Registering to vote

• You can register or update your address online at the Secretary of State's registration page. The deadline to register in advance is 21 days before the election, which is Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

• Not sure whether you are registered? Check your registration status.

• Missed the deadline? You can still register at your polling place on Election Day. Bring proof of residence, such as a Minnesota driver's license with your current address or a photo ID plus a recent utility bill.

Voting early or by absentee ballot

Any registered Minnesota voter can vote absentee. No excuse is needed. Absentee voting opens 46 days before the election, which is Friday, September 18, 2026.

• In person: Isanti County Government Center, 555 18th Avenue SW, Cambridge, MN 55008. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• By mail: Request a ballot through Isanti County Absentee Voting or call the Auditor-Treasurer's office at (763) 689-1644.
